Fondpaw (“we”, “us”) turns your pet photos into painted-portrait keepsakes. This policy explains, in plain English, what information we collect, why we collect it, and what happens to it. The short version: we collect only what we need to make and deliver your order, we never sell your data, and your pet’s photo is used to create your portrait — nothing else.

What we collect

• Your pet’s photo — the picture you upload to create your portrait, and the painted portrait generated from it.
• Order details — your name, email, shipping address, the product and size you chose, and your pet’s name if you add one.
• Email address — if you join our mailing list for a welcome discount.
• Basic analytics — anonymous usage data (pages visited, device type) via Google Analytics cookies, to understand how the site is used.

How your photo is used

When you upload a photo, it is processed by a third-party AI service (Google’s Gemini image model) to generate the painted-portrait preview you see and approve. Your photo and the finished portrait are stored securely so we can print your order, handle remakes, and show you your preview. We do not use your photos to train AI models, and we do not sell or share them for marketing.

Who we share information with

• Payment & checkout — orders are processed by Shopify; your card details go directly to Shopify’s payment systems and never touch our servers.
• Printing & delivery — your portrait, product choice and shipping address are passed to our print partner (Printify) and their carriers so your order can be made and delivered.
• Portrait generation — your uploaded photo is sent to Google’s AI service solely to create your portrait.
• Email — mailing-list addresses are stored with our email provider and used only for Fondpaw messages; unsubscribe anytime with one click.

We never sell your personal information. Full stop.

How long we keep things

Order records are kept as long as required for accounting and warranty purposes. Photos and portraits are retained so we can honour the remake guarantee and reorders. Want something deleted sooner? Email us and we’ll remove your photos and portrait from our storage.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to unsubscribe you from marketing. We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles and honour applicable rights under the GDPR and similar laws for international customers.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies: essential ones that make the cart and checkout work, and Google Analytics cookies that help us understand site usage. You can block analytics cookies in your browser without affecting your order.
