Terms of service.

These terms apply when you buy from Fondpaw. They’re written to be read, not to hide things: every piece is made to order, you approve your portrait before we print, and if we get something wrong we’ll make it right.

How ordering works

• You upload a clear photo of your pet and we generate a painted-portrait preview using our AI portrait engine.
• You approve the preview before anything is printed. What you see is what we print. Not happy with the preview? Regenerate it or change your photo — free, before purchase.
• Checkout and payment are handled securely by Shopify. Your order is then printed on demand by our print partner and shipped to you.

Your photo & the artwork

• You must own the photo you upload (or have permission to use it), and it must not contain anything unlawful.
• You keep all rights to your photo. You grant us the limited licence we need to process it, generate your portrait, print your order, and handle remakes.
• The finished portrait is yours to enjoy for personal use. We won’t use your photo or portrait for marketing without asking you first.

Shipping

Shipping is free worldwide. Orders are made to order and typically ship within 5–10 business days. Delivery estimates are estimates, not guarantees — carriers and customs occasionally add time. If your order seems lost, email us and we’ll chase it.

Remakes, returns & refunds

• Remake guarantee: if your item arrives damaged, defective, or meaningfully different from the preview you approved, we’ll remake it at no charge — just email a photo of the issue within 30 days of delivery.
• Because every piece is custom-made with your approved portrait, we can’t accept change-of-mind returns once printing has begun.
• Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or equivalent consumer protections where you live.

Fair use of the preview tool

The portrait preview is offered so you can see your artwork before buying. Please don’t abuse it (bulk scraping, automated generation, or uploading content that isn’t a pet photo). We may limit usage that looks automated or abusive.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the order concerned — and where the law says otherwise (including the Australian Consumer Law), the law wins.

The boring-but-necessary bits

• We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time of your order applies to that order.
• These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.
